Information used for SMS

Assembly uses your registered mobile number, your message preferences, consent records and opt-out status to decide whether a text may be sent. It records outgoing message content, destinations, timestamps and provider delivery status so you and authorized administrators can review delivery. Single-use sign-in links are omitted from the Assembly message log.

If your liaison records consent at your request, Assembly also retains who recorded it, how you agreed and the request details in the consent history and staff audit log.

Twilio and participating carriers process your number and message to deliver it. Assembly receives delivery status and STOP, START and HELP events from Twilio. Ordinary text replies are not added to the Assembly message log or treated as board instructions; use the portal for board work.

Your choices

A requested sign-in text contains one single-use link. Ongoing board and account text frequency varies with board activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is optional; you can use Assembly by email without agreeing to texts. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Within this SMS program, mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers receive information needed to operate the messaging service. Consent and opt-out records remain available for administration and to honor your choices.

Review your Alerts preferences, email systems@libertymuseum.org, or contact your board liaison through Assembly help for assistance with your information. Changing your mobile number requires new consent. Reply STOP to stop texts.

Read the SMS terms.

Help with this page

Choose whether to receive texts

Texts are optional. You can keep using Assembly by email.

This page contains text-message privacy information; there are no task controls to walk through.

  1. A sign-in text is separate

Agreeing to one requested sign-in text does not enroll you in ongoing board alerts.

  2. Opt in from Alerts

When enrollment is available, turn on Text me, read the consent statement, and save your preferences. A new enrollment sends a confirmation text.

  3. Stop whenever you need

Reply STOP to block texts, including sign-in texts. Reply START to remove the block, then opt in again in Alerts for ongoing messages. Reply HELP for help.

  4. Check your current status

Your profile shows SMS status for your current number. SMS stopped by member appears only while that number is blocked. After START it changes to SMS not enrolled, then SMS enrolled after a new opt-in and confirmation submission. Your liaison can also see this status.
